Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV)
Have you ever thought that you’d be able to do anything extraordinary with your life? Most of us would never allow ourselves to think such a thing. I think that is why this passage encourages me so much. It’s not about me. It’s not about you. It’s not about what any of us can accomplish with our own ability. It is about what God wants to do in and through us, and He is fully able to achieve all things. There is no limit to His abilities, and here we are reminded that He is able to do far more in our lives than our imaginations can envision. I encourage you to confidently step out in faith in, and dependence on, your Father in heaven. Then, you’ll be on your way toward discovering what “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” means for you.
My prayer today is, “Lord, please work in and through me to accomplish the extraordinary things that you have planned for me, which I would not be able to accomplish without you. May you receive all the praise and glory for these things, which I trust you to enable me to do.”
