In the blog that I posted on Friday, I talked about how God revealed Himself to me as my Father, and affirmed me as His child – His daughter.
Knowing that has been life-changing for me. The foundation of my relationship with my heavenly Father is based on my communication with Him through prayer.
I used to feel that God was too busy to bother with little ole me. He surely had more important things that needed and deserved His time and attention more.
His Word tells me the truth about His desire to spend time with me, and have a relationship with me.
Hebrews 4:14-16 (NIV) says, “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
I’m thankful for the word of encouragement from God in this Scripture because I need to receive His mercy, His grace and His help every day. This message from our heavenly Father is for everyone, not just me.
Please accept His invitation today to approach His throne of grace with confidence.
